Our Garden

Greenwich Cottage is the third cottage of a row of four 19th century cottages which, many years ago, used to be the homes of local farmworkers. An endearing feature of the gardens is that they are slightly offset to each cottage with three gardens in front of the four cottages. The fourth cottage has its garden to its side.

Greenwich Cottage garden is large with a lawned area, trees and shrubs. There are apple and pear trees and guests are always welcome to pick the fruit. Greenwich Cottage garden is south-facing and is positioned slightly to the right of the cottage.

Decked Area
At the bottom of the garden, where the views are best, there is a large raised decked area with garden furniture, and lighting. It has stunning views to the south overlooking the National Trust Golden Cap Estate and the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. There is a BBQ, with barbecue tools and an easy-to-light charcoal bag. A shed is available for the storage of up to two bicycles should you wish to bring them.

Parking Area
There is allocated space for one car just to the bottom of Greenwich Cottage garden which is accessible from the lane. Automatic lighting is provided in the parking area and through the garden which leads to the cottage.
