Walk details

The Anguilla Commonwealth Walkway is a 12km route that connects 14 points of significance in the The Valley, the capital of this beautiful Caribbean island.

Despite its eastern Caribbean location, Anguilla is a British Overseas Territory with a rich culture and heritage, fantastic local cuisine, and – of course – magical scenery.

The whole island is a wonderful place to walk, and the Commonwealth Walkway is a great way to get to the know the island on a circular route that takes in urban areas and stunning stretches of coast.

The Walkway was created by the Outdoor Trust to coincide with the Queen’s Baton Relay visit on 28 July, 2017, and the Trust looks forward to working with the government and the local community to develop the route and complete it in the near future.

Remember to prepare properly before heading out on any type of walk or outdoor activity. Tell people where you are going and what time you are expected back. As Wainwright says "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
