Remember to prepare properly before heading out on any type of walk or outdoor activity. Tell people where you are going and what time you are expected back. As Wainwright says “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing”.

The Queens Walkway
In celebration of The Queens record breaking reign. The Outdoor Trust established this walkway around her home of Windsor for all to enjoy.

The Outdoor Trust has drafted a new Walkway in Windsor, to mark the occasion of the Queen becoming the longest reigning monarch. The route, a symbolic 6.321km long for 63 years and 210 days (Queen Victoria reigned for 63 years and 209 days) has been designed to link 63 of the towns best attractions, parks, features and views.

The Queen opened The Queen’s Walkway in Windsor on her 90th birthday.  The Outdoor Trust was supremely honoured to be included in the special walkabout in Windsor, a formal moment of ceremony in the middle of two days of celebrations for her 90th birthday.

The opening of The Queen’s Walkway completed the 6.37km route round Windsor, originally put in to mark when The Queen outreigned Queen Victoria.

The Queen and Prince Philip viewed the new panoramic panel, the only missing part of the jigsaw.  Windsor now has 63 discs, an app, a leaflet, a panel, and a royal opening.
