Walk Details
This walk in on the West coast of Portugal and is a route well trodden by locals and tourists seeking out the best waves and views along the west coast.

This route starts in the car park, but instead of walking straight to the beach, take a path behind the ‘Surf Castle’ and walk along the cliff top.

You can then decide where to walk down onto the beach, there are lots of different options. We walked down after about 10 minutes.

Once along the beach you can take in the views of surfers catching waves and then meander along the beach to the peninsula. The cobbled roads of this section is beautiful with lots of old buildings to look at. The sunset on the far side is always a stunner, and then a perfect way to end the day is with dinner in the Taberna do Ganhão Restaurant overlooking Praia Do Baleal.
