Walks in Dorset

Dorset is a beautiful and varied place to walk, with a vast network of routes and trails showcasing its charming mixture of coastline, towns and countryside.

You can walk to iconic landmarks including Durdle Door, Old Harry Rocks and Brownsea Island, or avoid the crowds completely on secluded sections of the Jurassic Coast. Dorset’s landscape has inspired authors, poets and filmmakers, and the sense of history is inescapable as you walk between its famous seaside towns, castles, houses and gardens. Each walk is less than 10 miles and suitable for all ages and abilities, but if you want a bigger challenge you can walk sections of the 630-mile South West Coast Path that runs from Poole to Minehead.
