Walk Details
Llandanwg is on the Ardudwy coast, approx 2 miles south of Harlech. This is a delightful short walk to the Artro estuary, with great views of the Rhinog mountains, then on a lovely, unspoilt, sand and shingle beach. It is suitable for all ages and abilities. Llandanwg church is not usually open, except Friday and Sunday afternoons in the season.
Leaving Dolserau Hall, turn right for the Welshpool road, and turn right at main road (A470). Follow this by-passing Dolgellau to reach a roundabout. Turn left here onto the A496 and follow road, after approx 8 miles you pass through Barmouth.
Continue ahead up the coast, after approx 7 miles you pass through Llanbedr village. After the road ascends, take minor road on left, signposted Llandanwg. Follow this down, crossing railway line, till it ends at Llandanwg beach car park (pay and display).
