Heading to the Peaks
The Peak District is a very special place for walkers. It was here in 1932 that the mass trespass of Kinder Scout took place that ultimately paved the way for the creation of the National Parks across the country. This was also where Julia’s love of walking started when she was a child. She and her Dad would spend many hours exploring this magnificent landscape – and this week we’re going to do the same.

Exploring the Mother Hill
Mam Tor, meaning Mother Hill, stands proudly in the Hope Valley in the High Peak area near Castleton. The land here is managed by the National Trust. Not only was it a firm favourite of Julia and her Dad, this walk is one that was voted in the top 10 of Britain’s Favourite Walks too. From the ridge, on a clear day, you’ll get great views towards Kinder Scout.

After a day’s walking we’re headed to Losehill House Hotel. It’s one of the finest boutique hotels in the Peak District and offers a warm welcome and a good nights sleep.

Post Walk Pampering
We love a day (sometimes more) out walking. When you reach your destination and the boots can come off for the day – there’s nothing better than a spot of pampering to revive us ready to do it all again. TOG blogger Annie has given us her recommendations on great post walk pampering.
