Anglesey Walking Holidays was set up in 2006 by us, husband and wife Eurwyn and Gillian Williams, to coincide with the official opening of the Anglesey Coastal Path. Having walked the whole 128 mile Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path many times, we decided to set up a company offering walkers of all ages and ability an opportunity to experience the island at their own pace. Walking is the best way to explore the area, 95 per cent of which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s an exhilarating and calming experience that we want to share with our customers.

We are keen to promote responsible tourism on the island, so all our customers can park their car with us for the duration of their holiday, or we pick up from Bangor and Holyhead train/bus stations. All our walking packages include graded accommodations, maps and detailed route planners, door to door luggage transfer, and our full 24 hour back up service. We thrive to give our customers the very best Anglesey has to offer, be it accommodations, scenery, history and the best of Anglesey’s renowned food produce. Our customers are booked into acclaimed restaurants, many of these located close to the coastal path itself.

Hello from Eurwyn and Gillian

“We decided to set up Anglesey Walking Holidays/Crwydro Môn with the hope of being able to offer walkers an exhilarating experience with our walking holidays, and at the same time helping to sell Anglesey as a tourist destination.”

Details

Eurwyn was born on Anglesey, and his knowledge of the history and traditions of the area is an added bonus. Both of us have been living in South Anglesey for over 25 years, and count ourselves very lucky to be able to live and work on this unique and beautiful island. We are both fluent in English and Welsh.

Anglesey Walking Holidays have had regular features by the BBC (Radio and television), American TV as well as national newspapers and magazines. The company is going from strength to strength and over the years we have welcomed visitors from all over the world.

In 2011, Wales Walking Holidays was set up offering self-guided packages on mainland Wales utilising the Wales Coast Path, The North Wales Path, Offa’s Dyke National Trail and Glyndwr’s Way National Trail. Combined packages are offered on Anglesey and Snowdonia, as well as Anglesey and Wicklow, Ireland. Our American and Canadian visitors quite often fly into Dublin to savour the Irish delights before crossing the Irish Sea to meet us at Holyhead Port. We are agents for both ferry companies, Stena and Irish Ferries, so tickets can be booked directly through us. All these can packages can be viewed on www.waleswalkingholidays.com as well as www.angleseywalkingholidays.com

For those who prefer to cycle, we also offer cycling packages on Anglesey as well as the North Wales Coast National Route No. 5 from Bangor to Chester.
