The Sharpham Trust is an internationally-renowned mindfulness centre on the edge of Totnes, South Devon, on the beautiful Sharpham Estate, where participants stay and learn mindful meditation techniques amid breath-taking natural scenery.

The Trust operates various retreat venues: Grade I-listed Sharpham House (an 18th century Palladian villa high on the banks of the River Dart); The Coach House, a converted Georgian courtyard where people experience daily nature meditations, gardening and can explore our rewilding area whilst on retreat, the acclaimed Barn Retreat Centre in the Buddhist tradition and the Woodland Campsite, where nature-connection retreats take place under canvas. You can go on solitary retreats too in the grounds of The Barn.

The whole Estate is certified organic and sits within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Much of it is run using sustainable, organic practices. It is home to rich flora and fauna – including the endangered Cirl Bunting.

You can walk or ride there from Totnes, taking the National Cycle Route 28 towards Ashprington, although Sharpham House is only open to the public on certain days.

The Sharpham Trust, a registered charity administering the Estate, operates Sharpham Meadow Natural Burial Ground. And you can get married in Sharpham House too.
