Pot Haw Farm Camping and Caravanning Site

Our small Adult only site is tucked away in the small village of Coniston Cold off the main A65. Sited in the paddock between the farm house and our family farm. We thoroughly enjoy what we do and we hope that it reflects in the way we run our small CS site. We can certainly promise a real Yorkshire welcome! The site is level with five spacious hard standing pitches with EHU, grass pitches are well maintained with or without EHU. The facilities include well-appointed showers, toilets, washer and dryer.

The communal kitchen boasts a sink, fridge and a 4 oven Aga which is great for warming/cooking food and even airing damp items. The site is very peaceful with plenty of walks close by, perfect for cyclist to find quiet roads to Malhamdale and beyond. Just across the road is the award winning Coniston Hotel and Spa which hosts an array of country pursuits including clay pigeon shooting. Or you can just enjoy watching the world go by with whatever seasonal work that has be done on a working farm.

If you’re planning a camping holiday in the Peak District, our Club Site near Ashbourne is the perfect base from which to explore the area. Known locally as the gateway to Dovedale, this lovely campsite has 70 pitches spread over three fields, two of which offer hardstanding pitches and a third with grass pitches. The facilities are of a high standard and include hot showers, a washing up area and laundry.

Our campsite has good drainage and hard standings for caravans and motorhomes. Our pitches are on the generous side, (12m x 12m) and 12 of the 15 have electric hook-ups, so you can bring your mini-fridge, hair straighteners and phone charger if you want to. We could go on, but we don’t want to stop you from making your booking before you drift off to sleep (restfully of course). Well behaved dogs are welcome at the campsite and we have one dog-friendly room in the B & B.

The site is located off the Manton to Edith Weston road on the south shore of Rutland Water. Situated adjacent to the popular cycle route around the reservoir, the site also offers panoramic views across the water. An ideal place for bird watching as Osprey can often be seen in spring/summer, and a short walk to the Nature Reserve with its wealth of information in the visitor centre. The two acre site is all grass and level. There are no toilets or showers on site but chemical toilet disposal point, mains water and electric hookup are all available. A viewing platform is also available to enhance views over the reservoir. There are public footpaths nearby. Nearby attractions include fishing, sailing, rock climbing, ‘cycle hire walking and birdwatching

The appeal of our Milarrochy Bay Club campsite has to be its location on the east shore of the stunning Loch Lomond in the Loch Lomond and Trossach’s National Park. This tranquil campsite is popular with walkers, with the West Highland Way footpath right on the doorstep, while Ben Lomond, the highest mountain in the area, is north of the campsite near Rowardennan. Milarrochy Bay campsite will appeal to boaters and canoeists too with a long loch-side frontage with slipways for boat launching.

Its idyllic location near the pretty village of Youlgreave in the Peak District National Park offers a true back to nature camping experience. Walkers will love the Clent Hills, which offer panoramic views as far as the Cotswolds and the Welsh borders. It is a great place to stop when walking the Worcester and Birmingham Canal walk.

Midway between the market town of Oswestry and the county town of Shrewsbury, the site provides an excellent base for exploring the area on foot, by car or public transport. Our lovely Club Site at Glencoe is surrounded by woodland managed by the National Trust for Scotland, with all pitches enjoying breathtaking views of the mountains. The eco-friendly Glencoe National Trust for Scotland Visitor Centre is a short walk from the site. This is wonderful walking country. The West Highland Way passes within nine miles of the site, and there are many other low and high-level walks, including the Caledonian Canal and eight Munros.

The Devizes Club campsite is a quiet and secluded retreat by the side of the Avon and Kennet Canal in the heart of Wiltshire. Trees from the Centenary Wood, planted in 2001, are now flourishing at this lovely Club Site, where the surrounding countryside includes some of the UK’s most significant prehistoric sites. The site is four miles from the pretty market town of Devizes, which you can get to by walking along the refurbished canal towpath, passing the 29 locks in the Caen Hill flight on route.
