Brakspear Pubs
The Brakspear family have been running pubs for over 200 years so they certainly know their stuff. In 1711, William Henry Brakspear bought a brewery in Henley on Thames and 50 years later Brakspear bitter was born when 19 year old Robert became landlord of the Cross Keys and moved to a bigger brewery. By 1812, Robert and his sons had 34 pub leases. The company was then known as W. H. Brakspear when William Henry, Robert’s second son, joined the company.
After being acquired by J. T. Davies in 2007, more recently, Brakspear were back to brewing in Henley again in 2013. With such an extensive history in brewing and running pubs, we are certain you’re in the very best of hands at any Brakspear pub!
