A walk on the South Shore of Rutland Water

You’ll want to pause along here and admire the view out across the water.

You’ll pass Rutland Golf Course before reaching the tranquillity of the nature reserve. Keep an eye out here for birds of prey – especially the now famous Osprey colony that live here.

At the Visitor Centre, take the road up past The Paddock campsite and up to the main road. This is where our walk ends.

If you’re walking with friends, you could arrange to leave a car here before you set off so you can get back to where you started, or perhaps retrace your steps back to your car. If you’re looking for some refreshment – turn left and head into Edith Weston and The Wheatsheaf Inn for a refreshing pint!

The path on this walk is suitable for wheelchairs and bikes. If you have a dog with you – please ensure that they are under control around the nature reserve.
