Walk Details
It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Love2Stay in Shropshire – and whenever we go there this is one of the walks we love to do. We love it so much that we included it as part of the Walk Yourself Happy Retreat that Julia hosted there in May 2024.

Our walk starts at the main car park where you’ll also find some toilets and a cafe that serves delicious cakes, snacks and warming drinks.

We head in amongst the trees on a circular walk which you can do either way. It’s a walk that will offer you some amazing views – out across the quarry and the wider Shropshire countryside.

If you feel like a longer walk – there are a number of clearly marked trails that you can take. The Geo and Corbet trails are suitable for buggies and mobility scooters. The Wilfred’s Walk and Henry’s Hike are longer trails which are uneven underfoot and can be muddy at times.

Remember to prepare properly before heading out on any type of walk or outdoor activity. Tell people where you are going and what time you are expected back. As Wainwright says "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
