The Commonwealth Walkway is a 34km route around Glasgow, connecting 35 of the city’s main highlights in one action-packed walk.
The Walkway – created by The Outdoor Trust – starts at City Chambers in George Square, with further key waypoints on the route including the cathedral, canal, Kelvin River, Botanical Gardens, Riverside Museum, House for an Art Lover, Pollok Park, Queen’s Park and the Commonwealth Games venues to the east of the city, including the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
The route can be chopped up into six shorter stages (see instructions on link below) or walked as one huge loop around the city.
The City of Glasgow kindly offered to dedicate the first Commonwealth Walkway in advance of hosting The Commonwealth Games in 2014.
Full route instructions can be found here.
