Remember to prepare properly before heading out on any type of walk or outdoor activity. Tell people where you are going and what time you are expected back. As Wainwright says “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing”.

Poldark
The derelict stone engine house of Botallack Mine is a familiar site to fans of the Cornish TV series, Poldark. This walk takes you along the cliff edge, home to Botallack mine where part of this series was filmed.

Botallack Mine Walk
The Court House Café is the start to this family friendly walk in Botallack. Weave your way from the old tin mine village – down to Crown Mines.

This Cornish Mining “World Heritage Site” is dotted with beautiful ruins – scattered around as a reminder of its industrial past. Wheal Owles is the picture perfect spot for a picnic and provides great conversation for all those Poldark watchers!
