Purpose-built, 0ff-road wheelchair frame with stability and durability in mind.

The frame is made from thin wall aluminium tubing but with extra bracing which gives it strength and keeps the lightness required to travel over the more challenging terrain.

The extra bracing provides strength and the large 12” front and 24” rear mountain bike wheels have  the ability to glide along rough paths and tracks with ease. The frame shape allows the fitting of most powered and none-powered hand-crank cycles, powered front wheel attachments, powered rear wheel sets.

The DaVinci growing wheelchair frame keeps cost down as the frame will grow in three stages, from it’s original size of 12”x 12” seat to 15″ x 15”. The cantilever-style frame makes for a lightweight frame with very little under the seat to obstruct easy loading into a car. This design also helps to keep costs down. The frame is made from thin wall but larger diameter aluminium tubing which gives it strength yet keeps the lightness required for to be easy to handle. The frame shape allows the fitting of most popular powered rear-wheel sets.

The DaVinci Beach Trailrider electric powered front wheel attachment fits most rigid frame wheelchairs and allows the user to travel on terrain which would otherwise be almost impossible. It has a 500watt, high-torque gear drive motor with high-power programmable 12fet controller. The distance travelled depends on a number of factors speed, weight of rider, terrain and temperature. However, generally an 80kg rider on reasonably flat terrain at about 10 to 12 mph could get up to 20 miles on a 10ah 36volt battery. On sand there is much more resistance and more power and energy is required to travel the same distance so the Beach Trailrider comes with a 28ah 36v battery. The 24” x 4” wide beach wheels complete the kit.
