Peak District: the Kinder Scout walk
Starting in the village of Edale this walk follows in the footsteps of thousands of other walkers to the spiritual home of popular walking – the Kinder Scout plateau, the setting for the famous 1932 mass trespass that opened the doors to open access land and national parks.
From Edale we head west towards Upper Booth where we start to head north-west towards Kinder Scout and the highest point of our walk.
The views out across the Edale valley from up here are stunning!
We continue our walk eastwards from here, skirting around Grindslow Knoll until we come back down towards Edale and back to where we started.
This walk featured as part of Julia’s TV series of Walks With A View.

Remember to prepare properly before heading out on any type of walk or outdoor activity. Tell people where you are going and what time you are expected back. As Wainwright says "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
