Hello Toggers!

Walking with energy
It was in the summer of 1921 that Alfred Watkins made an extraordinary discovery – that many historically salient places are connected by straight lines. He called these lines “ley lines”. Believed to possess mystical or energetic qualities, they were thought to be used by ancient societies for navigational and ceremonial purposes. The epicentre of earth energy is said to be Stonehenge where 14 ley lines converge. Whilst there is no scientific evidence of ley lines, it has been noted by others that they follow ancient pilgrimage routes, connecting sacred monuments and places of worship.
At the end of next week Stonehenge will again be the focus of the summer solstice celebrations. If you’re keen see the world famous stone circle for yourself – our walk this week will take you there.
