Coming up on 18-19 March will be the second National Outdoor Expo at the NEC in Birmingham. We were there last year and loved it so much that we’ll be back again this year!
For the outdoor enthusiast, like us, it’s a great opportunity to meet up with like-minded people and brands, to get inspiration for where to explore next and grab a bargain on some essential pieces of kit (and other things you never knew you needed until now!). There will also be a series of fantastic talks from people like Ray Mears, Ben Fogle, Maya-Rose Craig, Helen Skelton and of course our very own Julia Bradbury will be there too.
The Outdoor Guide stand will be bringing together some of our partners and friends to focus on how we can make the outdoors accessible for all. On the stand we’ll be joined by:
Sponsored Breaks – you’ll not miss their Camper Van that will be the centrepiece of our stand. Born from a desire to give back to those who do so much for others, they offer free breaks away in the van to those who go above and beyond and all too often are otherwise taken for granted.
If you come along to the stand over the weekend – enter our competition and you could win a trip away in the van, along with a host of other goodies, for you and your family!
All Terrain Wheelchairs and DIETZ Mobility – offering advice on some amazing wheelchairs that will get those who would otherwise be less able, out on the hills and exploring the countryside.
Healthy Back Bag – it’s no secret that we’re huge fans of these bags. They’re designed to sit perfectly balanced across your back, with a single strap offer ease of access and come in a range of fantastic colours that suit every occasion! They were a runaway hit on the stand last year – so make sure you get yours!
Gemma Hunt – TV presenter, author and TOG Foundation Ambassador will be joining us for the weekend. Alongside doing readings from her latest children book – you’ll be able to purchase a signed copy of it too! She’ll also be there to tell you all about our Waterproofs and Wellies campaign – and how you can get involved.
Hot off the heels of the series of walks we’ve just unveiled in the city, Coventry City Council will also be joining us to talk about their outdoor education activities.
If you’re looking for a great way to stay in shape – come and have a chat with the team from FKPro. It’s a great suspended bodyweight training system that can be used anywhere.
The Cottage In the Dales is a gem of place to stay, nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, that offers a home away from home.
The RSPCA are back with us again talking rubbish … or more precisely the impact that litter has on wildlife in this country. You’ll also be able to join our Litter Heroes Campaign to help make a difference where you live.
So what are you waiting for? Book your ticket to the National Outdoor Expo today and we look forward to seeing you there!
PS – Use the code TOG23 and your tickets are free!
