Lyme Regis
The carpark half way down the hill would be ideal for the car as there was a footpath and steps 114 down to the foreshore. What a lovely decent down in to Lyme Regis.
What was fantastic is when you looked back up the cliff side you noticed the allotments over looking the sea ‘WOW’ what a view whilst you are gardening. I got distracted as I was walking along the promenade towards Cobb harbour by trying to find an ice-cream parlour I had read about. But Lyme Regis has a lot to offer, its lovely and clean with some good quality, interesting shops. A place I knew I could occupy myself for a few days, and after trying the ice-cream at Frank and Beans, which I eventually found down an alley, I could stay for a week and enjoy going for ice cream twice a day! Yes, did I say twice! They do ice cream for dogs too!

As Lyme is on a hill side and it was a hot day I decided I didn’t want to tire myself out and spoil it for tomorrow, so it was time to head back to the car. So asking two chaps outside the pub, who looked like locals, which was the best way back to the carpark on the hill, the chap said ‘look there Love, just jump on the tour bus’ on turning around I saw the open top bus pull up. ‘Woosh’ I was gone, thanking the chaps and shouting to the bus driver ‘wait for me!!’ I explained where I wanted to be with my Yorkshire accent but he thought I wanted to go to Charmouth. We went to the carpark but he didn’t stop! ‘Hey Ho’ not a problem, I was not in a rush and the sun was shining. I had water and a bag of rollys fudge as my rations, so I chilled and enjoyed the bus ride in full confidence it would return to Lyme Regis, which it did. In the end.
I must return to Lyme Regis.
