Walk Details
There are few places that tick all the boxes, but this is one of them. It is one of the best walks in Norfolk, with different length walks and something for everyone. Like Sandringham, the park has wood carvings dotted around, starting with a Big Friendly Giant at the beginning of the walks.

Nearby is a great new play area and a beautiful sensory garden with more wood carvings. Look out for the stargazer hare from the GoGoHares exhibition.

The blue route is the Easy Access trail of 0.5 miles, which incorporates the sensory garden, play area, amphitheatre and archway, but there are many other adventure trails, such as the 0.7 mile Children’s Trail (you can see the Viking Long House) or the 1.8 mile Feature Trail which includes Thor’s Causeway and the Carved Men. There are six trails in total which means you can choose a different adventure on every visit!

Fantastic for nature too – look out for the beautiful silver-washed fritillary in the summer. Hetty’s Tea room is great for a post-walk hot chocolate and with only a £2 parking fee it’s a really affordable day out.

Remember to prepare properly before heading out on any type of walk or outdoor activity. Tell people where you are going and what time you are expected back. As Wainwright says "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
