Hello Toggers!

Coastal Strolls

Coastal Walks
There is a special magic about walking along a coastal path, breathing in that healthy sea air. A study from Exeter University in 2016 found that those living close to the sea were generally happier and healthier than those living inland – but why is that? In part it’s down to negative ions released into the atmosphere when water breaks as waves crash on the shore, in part it’s connected to the continuous ebb and flow of the tide that has a restorative effect on our sense of well-being and in part it’s thanks to sea water containing particular microbes that enhance our immune system. To us, it all sounds like a great excuse to spend more time by the sea!

Solva to St Davids
Last weekend was St David’s Day, the patron saint of Wales. So this week we’re off to the smallest city in the UK for a walk that will give us plenty of fresh, healthy sea air. Voted as into 16th place in a poll for Britain’s Favourite Walks, this week we’re taking in a section of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path – it’s a walk that offers some spectacular views as we go.
