The stunning open parkland surrounding the National Trust’s Ickworth House is an easy landscape for walking. Taking in sheep pasture, ancient woodland and river bank, as you venture further away from the house the surroundings become increasingly peaceful and attractive for deer, small mammals, lizards, toads and birds.

Wallington in Northumberland: The Tree One …
Discover fabulous heritage trees on this fun short walk for all the family at wonderful Wallington where rolling hills, woodlands and walled gardens come together. You can also learn about the extensive conservation work going on to look after the many species that live here amongst the trees – including red squirrels.

Anvil

Anvil Lighthouse in Dorset: The Coastal One …
This short walk through the National Nature Reserve at Durlston features sea cliffs, woodland and hay meadows. There are breathtaking views once you reach the lighthouse and you might even spot dolphins and porpoises out at sea. The walk involves one steep climb and those with mobility issues can hire all terrain wheelchairs from the visitor centre.

Aysgarth

Aysgarth Falls in the Yorkshire Dales: The Waterfall One …
A perfect picnic spot in summer, Aysgarth is a series of three spectacular waterfalls on the River Ure in lower Wensleydale. While a series of steps leads down to the lower falls, the upper and middle falls are wheelchair friendly and the National Park Centre has accessible facilities and a lovely café.
