The Marvelous Midlands
The autumn months are great for getting outside and going for a walk. In the last few weeks before the clocks change, feeling that crispness in the air we make the most of the hours of daylight whilst we still have them.
This week we’re all about the Midlands – we’re headed to the picturesque Cotswolds for our walk – to the much loved Broadway Tower overlooking the Gloucestershire countryside.

Beautiful Broadway
We’re not talking about New York’s Great White Way – we’re talking about the highest point in the Cotswold. The Broadway Tower Country Park was the brainchild of the 18th century landscape designer Capability Brown. The tower itself has had many different uses over the years – from being a printing press, a holiday retreat for artists and an air-force observation point.
We’ll be staying at the National Trust Honors Holiday Cottage – it’s full of Cotswolds charm and a real walkers retreat. After a day out exploring – you’ll be ready to curl up in front of the inglenook fireplace in the evening.
