Essential Devon Cheese Board

A collaboration between Devon’s finest cheese-makers brings you the Essential Devon Cheese Board featuring five artisan cheeses. Each cheese is made with milk from cows and goats that have grazed Devon’s luscious pastures, crafted with over 100 years of skills and nurtured with love until ready for your cheese board. The essential cheese lover’s box will be delivered to your door with no contact necessary.

Your board includes the Devon classics; Sharpham Brie, Quickes Mature Cheddar and Devon Blue, plus a ‘Grader’s Choice’ from both Sharpham and Quickes, plus a packet of delicious Peters Yard Sourdough Crispbreads.

You will receive five pieces (circa 1.2kg combined) of artisan cheese individually wrapped along with tasting notes for each, all boxed up and ready to go.

Sharpham Brie

Sharpham Brie

Inspired by Sharpham’s founder, Maurice Ash, Sharpham Brie has been handmade to our own recipe at our Dairy since 1981 when we were one of the first UK cheesemakers to make this style of cheese.

Made with fresh milk from our Jersey herd, it is a buttercup yellow, mould-ripened cheese; firm, rich and creamy when young and softening with mushroomy notes and a chicory finish with age.

A multiple award-winner it is beautiful when baked, pivotal to a good cheese board and a perfect partner for a soft and fruity red.

Sharpham Ticklemore

Sharpham Ticklemore

The snowy white goats’ milk cheese, handmade at Sharpham Dairy using local milk, is crumbly and delicate with subtle herbaceous hints.

First made in the mid-1980s, Ticklemore Goat is known across the world and takes its name from a street in nearby Totnes. Goat’s milk from three local Devon farms gives its white colour, firm flinty texture and a mellow yet complex flavour featuring hints of lemon and herbs.

Ticklemore is sublime when melted in cooking, perfect crumbled into a salad and beautiful served on a cheeseboard, especially with fresh figs. We’re delighted that it was awarded a coveted 2 Stars at the 2020 Great Taste Awards.

Enjoy our original and most popular award winning cheeses.

Sharpham Brie, which is undoubtedly our flagship cheese. Made by hand, sublimely rich and buttery, developing savoury mushroom notes when ripe made with the milk from our own Jersey herd. At its best an hour or so out of the fridge before serving.

Ticklemore Goats cheese, our stark white cheese is crumbly and delicate with subtle herbaceous hints. Awarded 2 stars by Great Taste in 2020 and also excellent to cook with.

Sharpham Rustic, our semi-hard cheese with a refreshing light tang that delicately balances the richness of the jersey cows milk.

This selection contains approximately 1.2kg’s of cheese accompanied by Sourdough Crispbreads from Peters Yard.
