Walk Overview
This dramatic cliff-top walk follows the Wales Coast Path from the pretty harbour village of Solva to St Davids, the UK’s smallest city.
The route starts in the centre of Solva so give yourself plenty of time to explore its multi-coloured shops and galleries before heading west along unspoilt cliffs, with expansive views of St Brides Bay and its rocky islands accompanying you all the way to St Davids.
This is a one-way route, so you’ll either need to leave a car at each end or use public transport to get back to Solva. Or, if you’re feeling energetic, stop for lunch in St Davids then walk back the same way you came to experience the spectacular views across Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in reverse.
This route was voted 16th in a 2017 ITV poll to find Britain’s Favourite Walk.
TOG VERDICT: A relatively short walk that explores some of the finest coastal scenery in Wales, plus a stunning harbour village and the UK’s smallest city.
