Mortons House Hotel is an Elizabethan Manor House with 21 bedrooms. We have Double and Twin rooms. We have rooms to accommodate many preferences. Most of our rooms are located within the Manor House and have charm and characteristics that we have tried to keep.

Some of our rooms have stunning views across to Corfe Castle, some look over our terrace and fish pond and our Elizabethan Suite has a gorgeous Four Poster Bed. All double rooms have king-size beds and all rooms have tea & coffee making facilities and are en-suited.

Rose Hip Gypsy Caravan

Rose Hip Gypsy Caravan is an idyllic, romantic hideaway just for two; relax and cook by the firepit under the stars. Under the traditional bow top canvas there is a slide out double bed to climb into, bench seating and storage cupboards.

Steeped in history our gorgeous gypsy caravan takes glamping to the next level with modern additions, including 12volt lighting, USB charging and WiFi. Bedding and towels included and a modern shower room just a few yards away.

Royal Hotel – Afternoon Tea

Treat yourself to our traditional afternoon tea, every day between 2.00pm and 5pm. Featuring a selection of sandwiches and home baked sweet treats it’s the perfect reward following a morning in the great outdoors.
What’s more, you can make it extra special with a glass of fizz. Or for something a little more unusual add a cheeky glass of G&T from a range of gins matched with the best tonics.

But like many areas near the Lake District, this one tends to be overlooked by walkers who have their sights set on higher things. Four cosy and contemporary log cabins, fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday in the Derbyshire hills. With level thresholds and easy access, the spacious rooms all have stunning views over the farm fields, so you can relax and watch the wildlife.

A real home from home with, super king size double beds, modern bathrooms with luxurious whirlpool baths, and outdoor furniture. Children will love feeding the chickens and having fun on the play area.

There is a small shop on site selling basic supplies, and ample parking. Some of the log cabins even have their own private hot tubs to help sooth those aching limbs after a hard days walking.

Camping

Sharpham Trust – Camping

A low-key campsite in nearby Point Field where tents sit a few metres from the river.

The site is basic, with compost loos and a firepit, and it is the perfect place to canoe to!

Canoe partners also offer a drop-off and pick-up service to this hard-to-get-to but easy-to-love site.

Sheepfold (sleeps up to 4)

A spacious split three-level cottage, with a comfortable lounge on the top floor, kitchen/dining area on the middle floor and bedrooms on the lower floor. The cottage contains a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and bathroom which includes a shower over bath.

Sheepfold is popular with families and sets of couples. The spacious kitchen and dining area is ideal for small family gatherings and the comfortable lounge is perfect for cosy evenings in. An outside seating area enables guests to soak up the courtyard setting and all that Bolehill Farm has to offer.

Occupancy: Maximum 4 adults (+ cot)

Shippon (sleeps 2)

A delightful ground-floor cottage, containing an open plan living/dining and kitchen area with a log burning stove being a delectable addition. The double bedroom has an arched opening through to a separate dressing area.

The outdoor seating area enjoys a quaint spot opposite the cottage with wide-ranging views towards Lathkill Dale. Shippon is ideal for a couple or couple with a baby looking for a cosy, comfortable cottage.

Silver Birch

Silver Birch (sleeps 8)

Imagine relaxing in the bubbly, warming water of the Silver Birch Cottage private hot tub!

Silver Birch seats 34 for dining, so everyone can spend quality time together and make treasured memories over a celebration meal! Perhaps prepared and served by local caterers? Silver Birch has an extra oven, fridge and dishwasher.

All four bedrooms are en-suite; 2 are accessible wet rooms. Open plan dining, kitchen and seating area with wood burner and underfloor heating.

Excellent accessibility (rated M3, V1, H1) includes an additional lower kitchen sink and 2 parking bays alongside the cottage.
