The Lighthouse By Alison Moore

A man takes a restorative walking holiday in Germany but finds more than he bargained for…

This novel is a walk, a wander and a realisation along the River Thine in Germany.

Every day Futh stays in a different hotel, on a walking tour  having first arrived at hotel called Hellhaus …

Hellhaus is a play on words and images. The name in German means Lighthouse, but of course it had more dubious connotations in English.

The site is located off the Manton to Edith Weston road on the south shore of Rutland Water. Situated adjacent to the popular cycle route around the reservoir, the site also offers panoramic views across the water.

An ideal place for bird watching as Osprey can often be seen in spring/summer, and a short walk to the Nature Reserve with its wealth of information in the visitor centre. The two acre site is all grass and level. There are no toilets or showers on site but chemical toilet disposal point, mains water and electric hookup are all available.

A viewing platform is also available to enhance views over the reservoir. There are public footpaths nearby. Nearby attractions include fishing, sailing, rock climbing, ‘cycle hire walking and birdwatching

hooded top - plum

The Plum Hooded Top

The new Kidunk hooded top features an asymmetric zip which slides to one side keeping it out of the way for play. The hood is removable and the collar is deep and soft for added protection. It had a large front pocket to keep little hands cosy and warm.

plum - trousers

The Plum Trouser

Our Kidunk fleece lined trousers feature a comfortable elasticated waist. They have a generous cut so little ones can roly-poly, run, hop, skip and jump and these trousers stay put. When little one is ready for outdoor or messy, sandy play, then zip on the Kidunk top and you have yourself a Kidunk playsuit and little one is protected. The zip attachment sits on the outside of the trouser and is discreetly folded back so when not in use it doesn’t get in the way. The legs feature a concealed outer zip at hem to get welly boots on with ease and an inner leg to tuck inside boots.

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks

Nearly 100,000 people take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge every year. Most succeed but many do not.

The walk takes place in some of the most stunning countryside in the country. Not only does the limestone scenery make the walk unique and attractive but the industrial heritage makes it memorable.

The book is much more than a simple guide, it adds flavour and interest to the area and the walk itself.
