Six Barton’s is the end cottage of a small row of Victorian cottages in Dunk’s Green, Kent, in the heart of the Garden of England. We bought it 4 years ago and renovated it to the high standard you’ll find today. We kept many original features such as rag stone walls and latched doors, and added the modern conveniences we all appreciate, powerful shower, fully fitted kitchen and underfloor heating to name a few.
There’s a gorgeous wood burner for chilly evenings and a garden with fantastic countryside views. We’ve also got apple, cherry and raspberry orchards behind us and local strolls that will take you through them; blossom or fruit, they’re always beautiful.
We’ve been renting it out for less than 12 months and are so pleased with the charming guests we’ve had to stay. You’re allowed to bring a well-behaved dog because we know a holiday in the country is often enhanced by being able to have all the members of your family with you.
There are great walks and cycle rides from our door, from short and easy to seriously long, almost all will take you past a local pub and you’ll be surrounded by the fields and orchards that characterise our wonderful part of Kent.
