National Trust Marloes Peninsula Walk
Experience the best of world-renowned Marloes Peninsula on this family-friendly National Trust walk. There are stunning views of the coastline and the site teems with wildlife.
Marloes encompasses cliff edge, heathland and wide blue ocean views. The abundant wildlife includes dolphins, seabirds and seals – you might see pups in the autumn.
There are wetland birds at Marloes Mere and Gateholm Island is white with gannets in summer.
The coastal path leads around the edge of the Peninsular. You’ll pass Iron Age fort remains and fantastic sedimentary rock formations, before Skomer Island comes dramatically into view. As you reach the headland look out for the Welsh mountain ponies grazing what was once a deer park.
At Martin’s Haven there are magnificent views across St Bride’s Bay.
From spring to early autumn boat trips from here visit Skomer and other islands. The last part of the walk is through beautiful flower meadows.
Marloes is a special place to enjoy all year round. The Mere is a fantastic spot for birdwatching and you can stroll along the beach at Marloes Sands. There’s a pub and a café in the village, and toilets at the car park.
