WALK INSTRUCTIONS
Note that wayposts on this walk have chevrons rather than collars.
Walk towards the pedestrian gate which leads to Lendrick Lodge, but keep to the left and follow the path with the green and pink wayposts.
In about 150m, you’ll see a seat on the right and as you head uphill, the path will veer to the left where you will pass another two seats. Hope you don’t have to use them at this early stage!
In a further 100m, there is another seat, this time a log one beside a path marked by a pink waypost on the right – Point 1 (NN547063). Carry on along your original path though and then, in a few metres ,the path to your left, marked with green waypost. Walk the narrow path, bordered on both sides by abundant trees, several sculptures and even more seats – these have stunning views across to Lendrick!
When you reach the ‘sound sculpture’ , take the path on the left which will take you to the ‘Clach’ – a glacial erratic boulder.
In about 500m , you’ll rejoin the main path 100m or so beyond the original green waypost.
At this point you can either turn right following green wayposts, to return directly to the car park, or turn left, through a gate and down to the end of Loch Venachar and the Blackwater marshes in about 200m .
This is a lovely spot to sit and relax or watch wildlife.
This is where our walk finishes. To return back to where you started go through the gate and carry straight along the path (past both green & the pink junctions) to the car park.
