Walk Details
This circular walk takes you along not one, but two historic passes between Glen Coe and Glen Etive. Before setting off on this one you will need to check the weather forecast (and look at how the weather has been in the previous weeks) as parts can get boggy and waterlogged. You have been warned!!
From the car park we’re headed southwards along the trail following Lairig Eilde. It starts with a steady climb upwards before descending fairly steeply down into the valley.
The climb back up, in a northwards direction, is also fairly steep as we follow the path along Lairig Gartain. We keep going until we meet the A82 road. Carefully crossing over, we turn left and follow the trail that runs pretty much parallel to the road until we get back to the car park where we started.
Carpark: Glen Coe Car Park (opposite the “Beehive Cairn”) – nearest post code is PH49 4HX

Remember to prepare properly before heading out on any type of walk or outdoor activity. Tell people where you are going and what time you are expected back. As Wainwright says "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
