Walk Details
This is an easy circular walk that we’re starting from Bell End’s car park entrance – but you can pick up from anywhere along the trail.
From the car park we’re turning right and walking along a minor road, taking in the views south-eastwards across the North York Moors towards North Dale.
About 500 yards from Bell End – look for a footpath sign on your left, pointing you right (OS Grid Ref: SE722971).
Follow that sign – turning right and going over a stile beside the gate and following the track steeply downhill between the trees (Bell Plantation).
At the other side of the Plantation you’re taking a right and heading southwards, following the river towards Rosedale Abbey – where you may wish to pause for some refreshments before continuing onwards.
Taking a right and winding your way past the school, we start heading north-eastwards, past the Waterhouse Well, continuing straight along the track until we come to a right turn, taking us back to where we started.
Nearest Train (or tube) Station(s):
Danby, Middlesbrough
Read the Countryside Code before venturing out
Make sure to take a map and compass, and know how to use them before going into our National Parks #BeAdventureSmart

Remember to prepare properly before heading out on any type of walk or outdoor activity. Tell people where you are going and what time you are expected back. As Wainwright says "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
