Walk Details
This is a great National Trails walk along a section of the coast path in North Yorkshire in a figure 8. We’ve described it as a “semi-accessible” walk as one of the loops is accessed via a kissing gate and therefore not suitable for wheelchair users (although there has been talk that this will be replaced with a wheelchair friendly gate instead).

Whilst it can be possible to get stunning views out across Robin Hood Bay from up here, that is dependent on the hedges and trees which can get overgrown.

After your walk we recommend stopping off at the Ravens Hall Hotel for afternoon tea, especially on a beautiful sunny day when tea can be taken in the garden which overlooks the bay. Sea, sun, cake and tea is simply the icing on the cake for this cliff top walk.

AccessTOG Verdict
The path that leads back to Station Square was, when we did the walk, full of potholes making it harder to cross, especially in a manual wheelchair. Despite this, it is a great walk that offers you a good lung full of sea air.

Remember to prepare properly before heading out on any type of walk or outdoor activity. Tell people where you are going and what time you are expected back. As Wainwright says "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
