A Stile Free Coastal Walk from Seahouses to Bamburgh Castle

This is quite a steep path – but if you’d prefer something gentler, continue further along the sand dune track and you’ll find a wider and flatter entrance onto the beach.

From here on, it is a beautiful walk along the beach, around the headland, passing under the shadows of Bamburgh Castle, and on to the car park where there is an accessible track.

For this walk you need to make sure you know the tide times – there are plenty of ways to get off the beach if you are caught out – but some include stiles you need to climb over.

Whilst this is a lovely walk that is accessible for wheelchair users – it is only suitable for those who use an all terrain wheelchair that is suitable for use on a beach (check the manufacturers instructions on this before setting off).
