Weekend Adventures
Well, it’s safe to say that summer is over! The shorts have been packed away, and the first named storm of the season has passed through. But worry not, we still have lots of the outdoors to explore!
This week we’re heading to the Cotswolds for our walk. Cleeve Hill is located a short drive from Cheltenham. This is a linear walk – so you’ll either need to plan ahead to get a lift back to where you started – or retrace your steps if you’re feeling energetic!
If you’re in the area – don’t forget to book your tickets to catch Julia at the Cheltenham Literary Festival in a little over a weeks time on Saturday 14th October. We’ve had an amazing time on the road over the past couple of weeks – and we love that over 2,000 of you have enjoyed it just as much!
“A fantastic evening with the bundle of positivity and energy that is Julia Bradbury” – @margotgoodlife
If you’ve not come along – there’s still time!
After a days walking on Cleeve Hill or the Cotswold Way, you’ll be in need of somewhere to lay your head. And where better than the White Hart in Winchcombe? It’s an absolute gem of a place to stay. Plus, the food is incredible – we can guarantee you’ll be heading back up Cleeve Hill in the morning to walk it all off!
Saturday nights worth staying in for!
What are you doing on Saturday evening? Come join Julia for her latest series – Julia Bradbury’s Irish Journey. Episode 1 is coming up tomorrow (7th October) on Channel 4 at 8.35pm.
Julia returns to the land of her birth to explore the landscape, culture and history of the Emerald Isle. In the first episode she takes us to southern Ireland, to County Tipperary and County Cork.
Wet Weather Ready
As we head into autumn, we need to be prepared for all weathers – and that’s where having a good, waterproof rucksack comes in handy. OverBoard bags are great at keeping your kit dry – and right now (until 9th October) you can get 20% off all waterproof bags and cases. Check out the cute animal ones for the little ones!
