Keswick is open for business after the winter storms parts of the UK and especially the Lake District were plunged into chaos as Storm Desmond and more swept across the country, bringing heavy rain, gale force winds and flooding.
Keswick is 20 minutes from J40 of the M6 .
Please check your route to Keswick as the A591 at Thirlmere is closed due to flood damage. Businesses at either side are open as normal. Visitors from the South should access Keswick via M6 J40 and not via J36 and the A591.
Check with your accommodation before you travel – but please do not cancel your bookings – shops, cafe’s and businesses are open for business.
