Accessible Rooms

At Mortons House, we are committed to ensuring that all of our guests are given a warm welcome and their needs are catered for. Set in a private walled garden, adjacent to the hotel are our four accessible rooms, the Dacombe Rooms.

These are either double or twin rooms which are all ground floor level rooms, immaculately decorated and all have shower only wet rooms. The rooms are easily accessible from the hotel, ensuring privacy and have designated car parking spaces.

Camping and Caravanning Corfe Castle Club Site

The Purbeck Hills, award winning beaches and a castle make this a popular family site.

Our Club campsite at Corfe Castle lies at the foot of the Purbeck Hills, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and has close proximity to the Blue Flag award-winning Studland beach with four miles of glorious sand and bustling Swanage with its pretty beach huts. Lulworth Cove and the iconic Durdle Dor on the Jurassic Coastline are a must!

Mortons House Hotel has an award winning Two Rosette Restaurant within the Hotel. Our Head Chef and his team pride themselves in creating and developing quality dishes, using predominantly local products, with a few twists to temp the palate.

Included in our Bed and Breakfast package is our delicious breakfast menu with options to suit everybody, including our homemade toast! Throughout the day our food is available, from bar snacks, afternoon and savoury teas to more indulgent options.

Discover 1,000 years of our history as a royal palace and fortress. With fallen walls and secret places, there are tales of treachery and treason around every corner.

Spot the ‘murder holes’ and count the arrow loops. Feel history come to life and see the wildlife that has set up home here.

Greenlands Cottage

A rural cottage that was once a farm workers cottage on the edge of Poole Harbour. The cottage boasts views over the harbour across to Brownsea Island and inland over the Dorset Heathland. It’s in the perfect spot for exploring and guests can access the waters edge from the garden. Nearby you can visit Studland beach or catch the ferry to Bournemouth

Dine in style indoors or out with views overlooking Studland Bay and Old Harry Rocks.

You’ll find everything you need for a day at the beach in our shop, along with gifts, home accessories, rugs, decorative items and a great range of cards.

When the weather’s not so warm you’ll find a cosy interior heated by a stove burning wood from our estate – perfect for snuggling up with a cup of hot chocolate.

Oak Cottage

Located on the Golden Cap estate, Oak is one of St Gabriel’s cottages, a row of thatched holiday homes that sit on the site of a former hamlet. Oak Cottage is in a wonderfully secluded spot, the perfect place to get away from it all.

Scale Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast, or opt for a less strenuous stroll along the South West Coast Path. You may even spot one of our conservationists who help care for this land. The support from your stay at Oak Cottage ensures we can continue this vital work.

A little further afield, immerse yourself in Hardy Country. Discover the Dorset countryside that inspired this great writer to produce such enduring literary works.

With views over Studland Bay, this former tennis pavilion makes a quirky holiday escape.

Seaview is a former tennis pavilion turned quirky holiday cottage with stacks of charm. From its veranda you’ll have front row seats of Studland Bay. Open the double French doors to a bright and airy space where cream wood-panelled walls run throughout the cottage.

Studland Beach is just a 10 minute walk, where you’ll find a vast stretch of sand, an abundance of waters sports and views of Old Harry Rocks. For a more secluded beach without the crowds, South Beach is just 180 metres from the cottage.

Stone Barrow Bunkhouse

Starting life as an MOD radar station, Stone Barrow Bunkhouse offers a remote hideaway for a group of eight. Walkers, activity groups or large families alike will delight over its location, high on Stonebarrow Hill overlooking Lyme Bay and the Golden Cap.

You’ll be in perfect walking territory, with 25 miles of footpaths through the countryside and headlands of the Golden Cap right from your doorstep. From here you’ll be able to loop onto the South West Coast Path and hike further along the Dorset coastline. Or stay local and relax on Charmouth’s beach, which is only a 30 minute walk downhill.

Our Castle Room is perfect for hosting your private dining experience, special occasion, conference or a celebration.

Located in the Manor House the Castle Room has space for up to 20 guests. Alternatively, our Main Dining room can be used for up to 60 guests for such an occasion.

Mortons House Hotel is an Elizabethan Manor House with 21 bedrooms. We have Double and Twin rooms. We have rooms to accommodate many preferences. Most of our rooms are located within the Manor House and have charm and characteristics that we have tried to keep.

Some of our rooms have stunning views across to Corfe Castle, some look over our terrace and fish pond and our Elizabethan Suite has a gorgeous Four Poster Bed. All double rooms have king-size beds and all rooms have tea & coffee making facilities and are en-suited.
