Treat your dog to a trio of North Cornish beaches, with golden sands and towering dunes to explore on an unforgettable circular stroll.
This is a walk tailor-made for dog lovers, where your four-legged friends are allowed on beaches all year round. You start the walk at the village of Holywell and follow the beach with the coast on your left. You can explore the cave if the tide is out, but be careful!

When you leave the beach, walk around Kelsey Head and over to Porth Joke beach, then continue on the South West Coast Path towards Pentire Point West and admire the stunning views.
Crantock Beach is the next beach you’ll visit on this beautiful coastal stroll, which is also dog friendly.
After a run around on the beach (humans can join in too) head through West Pentire and make your way back towards Holywell on an inland path that eventually leads towards your start point through sand dunes.
Please note that the cliff edges are open, so don’t let your dog stray.
TOG’s verdict: Golden beaches, towering sand dunes, rugged cliffs and classic Cornish settlements. Dog walks don’t get much more spectacular.
This walk is part of the Dogs Die in Hot Cars Campaign. Please don’t take the risk by leaving your dog alone in a car on a summer’s day. ‘Not long’ is too long.
