Walk Details

Phoenix Park is one of the largest urban parks in Europe and home to this circular walk of nearly 7.5 miles. On the way you encounter the natural beauty, historical landmarks and recreational spaces that are on offer here.

This is a deer park – if you are walking with your dog please remember to keep them under control around the deer, especially during rutting season!

As you walk you’ll discover many of the attractions of the park – including  the Áras an Uachtaráin, the official residence of the President of Ireland, and the stunning Papal Cross.

This walk allows you to truly soak up and appreciate the park’s vastness and the soothing ambience it provides. It’s a great place to escape for a moment from the urban hustle that’s just a short distance away.

Remember to prepare properly before heading out on any type of walk or outdoor activity. Tell people where you are going and what time you are expected back. As Wainwright says "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
