Anglesey Walking Holidays – Glyndŵr’s Way

The Glyndŵr’s Way is a 135 mile (209km) horseshoe shaped National Trail starting at Knighton, on the Border of England and Wales. The trail crosses west through the Radnoshire Hills through market towns and farmland ending at Welshpool in the heart of Mid Wales.

Owain Glyndŵr (c. 1349 or 1359 – c. 1415) was a Welsh ruler and the last native Welshman to hold the title Prince of Wales (Tywysog Cymru). He instigated a fierce and long-running but ultimately unsuccessful revolt against Henry IV of England. No one knows exactly when or where Owain died. But he acquired a mythical status as the hero awaiting the call to return and liberate his people.

Anglesey Walking Holidays – North Wales Path

The North Wales Path is a long-distance trail extending for 60 miles (97km) from Prestatyn to Bangor. This select package covers the best part of the North Wales Path in our opinion, covering the route from Llandudno to Bangor – approx. 30 miles.

The route initially follows the Wales Coast Path along the coastline, but diverts to higher ground between Conwy and Bangor with magnificent views across to Anglesey and Snowdonia.

Anglesey Walking Holidays – Wales Coast Path Meirionnydd

Situated in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park this 70 mile/113 km shorter section of the Wales Coast Path takes you from the harbour town of Porthmadog, with its maritime history, down to Cardigan Bay ending at Machynlleth in mid Wales. It is possible to link to Glyndŵr’s Way at Machynlleth.

A truly coastal section, especially from Harlech and its fine medieval castle, this walk takes in vast and expansive beaches, but also offers interesting coastal plains, some hilly sections and challenging woodland, where some of Snowdonia’s finest peaks come into view.  The walk ends at the historic market town of Machynlleth.

Anglesey Walking Holidays – Walking for Softies

This is an ideal walking tour for those who prefer to walk shorter distances, having plenty of time to stand and stare at Anglesey’s spectacular coastline and historical sites.

With this package there is no rush, take everything in its stride, stop in lovely beauty spots for your packed lunches and maybe treat yourself to a nice afternoon tea at the end of the walk.
