We launched our Pink Ribbon Bagletts in 2007 to help raise funds and awareness of breast cancer research after Margery, our company co-founder, celebrated her return to health: “No one wants to hear their doctor say ‘You have breast cancer.’ It is a horrifying moment that I went through 15 years ago! But there have been amazing advances in treatments and this diagnosis is no longer as scary as it once was. Since 2016, 50% of all profits are donated to breast cancer charity CoppaFeel. Our donations go to help raise awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer.

This site was of course Wheal Leisure in the TV programmes and you’ll see so much of Poldark’s landscape by venturing on this walk and appreciating how difficult it would have been to ride horses along here for miles until the next village. Ross and Demelza might well be spotted as you walk to appreciate the surroundings which seem to be frozen in time.

Pot Haw Farm Camping and Caravanning Site

Our small Adult only site is tucked away in the small village of Coniston Cold off the main A65. Sited in the paddock between the farm house and our family farm. We thoroughly enjoy what we do and we hope that it reflects in the way we run our small CS site. We can certainly promise a real Yorkshire welcome! The site is level with five spacious hard standing pitches with EHU, grass pitches are well maintained with or without EHU. The facilities include well-appointed showers, toilets, washer and dryer.

The communal kitchen boasts a sink, fridge and a 4 oven Aga which is great for warming/cooking food and even airing damp items. The site is very peaceful with plenty of walks close by, perfect for cyclist to find quiet roads to Malhamdale and beyond. Just across the road is the award winning Coniston Hotel and Spa which hosts an array of country pursuits including clay pigeon shooting. Or you can just enjoy watching the world go by with whatever seasonal work that has be done on a working farm.

Princes Seat Cottage

Princes Seat Cottage

Named after Bonnie Prince Charlie (a reputed early guest at Vicarage Farm!), Prince’s Seat has three comfortable bedrooms and sleeps up to seven people.

It comprises a family bedroom with a double and single bed, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.  It has an upstairs family shower/bathroom and a downstairs shower room complete with sauna and toilet with a large shower enclosure. 

The spacious sitting room has comfortable seating for more than seven and a wood stove giving it a warm and homely feel.    

We can provide high chairs on request.  We can also lend  travel cots (please bring your own cot bedding) or fold down beds; cots and beds need to be booked in advance and there is a small charge for the beds.
