Latrigg accessible walk, Lake District

. At the start of the walk there is a fairly steep climb (1.7 gradient), which could be heavy going for a manual wheelchair.

From then on it is a fairly gentle climb to the view point. From here you can see along to Borrowdale and Derwentwater. There is a bench here for your companion and a chance to take in the views. This isn’t quite the summit of Latrigg. The path to the top is passable, but it is steep and uneven. Most people choose to turn around here and head back the same way as they climbed up.

Once back in the town and enjoying a pint in the pub, you can boast to your friends that you have climbed one of Alfred Wainwright’s 214 Fells.
