This wonderfully varied circular walk in Norfolk takes in famous parkland, diverse woodland and stunning clifftop views.
The National Trust’s beautiful Sheringham Park on the Norfolk coast is a lovely to place walk at any time of the year. This rewarding circular trail will take you through mature rich woodlands, across heathland, and out across fields leading to the sea.

Famous for its spectacular show of rhododendrons and azaleas in spring and early summer, Sheringham was laid out by influential English landscape designer Humphry Repton who called it his “favourite and darling child in Norfolk’.

In summer months you might spot white admiral butterflies in flight and skylarks overhead. There’s also plenty of wildlife to enjoy during the winter months – squadrons of pink footed geese, the unmistakable sound of great spotted woodpeckers, and muntjac and other species of deer call this home too.

The route crosses the North Norfolk railway at Weybourne village before joining a stretch of the ancient Peddars Way National Trail along the coast path. As you re-enter the park, don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of your walk from the tree-top gazebo near to the visitor centre.
