Walk Details

Located on the Royal Sandringham estate, the house was donated by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1983 to the Leonard Cheshire Disability charity, of which she was the patron. Since then the house has been converted into a hotel specifically for people with disabilities and their carers.

The first guests were welcomed in 1987 and offer fabulous care and support for all, whatever their needs and abilities.

From the front door of the hotel you are in the midst of the stunning grounds of the Sandringham Estate, a private estate of the Royal Family. There are miles of tracks you can explore that are suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Inside the hotel there’s a lovely restaurant and bar, a conservatory and library, and a large TV lounge. There’s also an outdoor heated swimming pool and beautiful sensory garden, complete with two wheelchair swings. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind.
