Walk Details

This walk offers spectacular views out across the Killary Fjord on Ireland’s west coast. It’s a 2.8 mile out and back route that is for those of moderate fitness.

The trail takes you on a climb up towards the summit of Teevnabinnia – the ascent is worth it for the views you are afforded out across the tranquil waters and rugged mountains that surround them. Take a picnic with you (making sure you leave no trace after) so you can savour a bite to eat alongside taking in this view. It may only be a relatively short walk – but it’ll feel like you’re looking out on another world.

Remember to prepare properly before heading out on any type of walk or outdoor activity. Tell people where you are going and what time you are expected back. As Wainwright says "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
