National Trust Undiscovered Formby Walk
Nestled in-between Formby point and the Ainsdale Sands Nature Reserve, this short walk has a perfect mix of beachside walking and nature immersed surroundings.

The National Trust Undiscovered Formby Walk is a real treat. It encompasses woodland and sand dunes full of wildlife followed by a vast golden sand beach. There are a variety of car parks for this walk, the main one has toilet facilities and is a short walk from the beach.

The beginning of this walk leads you through dense pine woodland and onto the vast sand dunes that separates and protect the land from the offshore weathering. These three habitats, even though they are close they are home to such a variety of wildlife.

Once out on the open beach land you can see for miles and after a gentle stroll you forget how close you are to a big city like Liverpool! Walk back quietly and keep your eyes peeled through the Squirrel woodland and you might be in luck..
